En A Coruña, un hombre ha sido multado con 1.000 euros por dejar una cámara de vídeo encendida en su coche para captar a las personas que se dedicaban a rayar su coche. La multa ha sido impuesta por la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) y notificada por el Ayuntamiento de A Coruña.
La Policía Local comprobó la existencia de una cámara en el coche grabando al exterior, por lo que retiró el vehículo y fue trasladado al depósito municipal de A Coruña.

Sin embargo, está completamente prohibido el uso de la cámara para captar imágenes de terceros en el exterior según la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos. Mantienen que está prohibido la orientación de las cámaras al exterior. No se pueden recoger imágenes de personas en la calle sin su previo consentimiento.

Desde la AEPD aseguran que "no se aporta denuncia o documento alguno que acredite los daños y perjuicios sufridos en el vehículo, más allá de meras manifestaciones del reclamado".
The Agency argues that "the presence of a device inside the vehicle of the claimed person who obtains public space images is considered excessive, and it is not justified that even in a parking situation it should continue in outward visualization mode".
The only exception in this regard would be to use the images if the vehicle was in motion in the event of a "collision or accident".
Finally, in the document issued by the AEPD on the sanctioning procedure, it includes that "such devices whose proliferation in recent times is latent may conflict with the right to data protection by being the same treaties and subsequently disseminated on social networks, without prejudice to situations of permanent acquisition of public space".
